Business Hotel Boom in city
Mysuru, July 21 -- 600-700 rooms to be added in the next three years
Following the acquisition of Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel in city by the Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), which operates the Taj brand, the city is poised for a significant expansion in its hospitality sector.
According to industry sources, Mysuru is expected to add between 600 and 700 hotel rooms over the next three years.
ITC Hotels has already announced the signing of a 99-key Welcomhotel in the city. Meanwhile, Chennai-based Residency Hotels is constructing a 100-key property on Valmiki Road with an investment said to be around Rs. 50 crore. The hotel is aimed at catering to both leisure and business travellers.
