Mysuru, Sept. 28 -- The Mysuru District Administration hosted a special breakfast for the families of Mahouts and Kavadis of the Dasara elephants at the Mysore Palace premises this morning. More than 150 members attended the programme.

The breakfast menu included obbattu (holige), dosas, idlis, vadas, uppittu, sagu, pongal, puliyogare, jalebi, tea and coffee. Minister in-charge of Mysuru district Dr. Yathindra Siddaramaiah personally served the food before joining the families for breakfast along with other dignitaries.

Later, the delegation visited a temporary 'tent school' set up in the Palace premises. The dignitaries watched dance performances by children of forest camp workers and distributed school bags to the students. Dr. Yathin...
