Mysuru, Sept. 18 -- MCC to tie up with India Post in a doorstep, citizen-friendly initiative

In a bid to simplify civic services and take them to the doorstep of citizens, the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) has decided to introduce a new scheme under which birth and death certificates will be delivered directly to applicants' homes in collaboration with the Postal Department.

Under the initiative, residents of all 65 wards coming under MCC's nine Zonal Offices who apply for birth or death certificates will receive the documents at their doorstep within the stipulated time frame.

The move is aimed at eliminating the need for citizens to make repeated visits to the corporation offices to obtain the certificates.
