Mysore/Mysuru, Dec. 8 -- Dr. T.S. Sathyavathi, Chairperson of the 30th JSS Music Conference (Sangeetha Sammelana), was conferred the prestigious 'Sangeetha Vidya Nidhi' award at the valedictory ceremony held at Navajyoti Auditorium in JSS College for Women, Saraswathipuram in city recently.

The Conference was organised by the JSS Sangeetha Sabha Trust in memory of late Dr. Shivarathri Rajendra Swamiji.

The award was presented by Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji, who, in his address, praised the significant contribution of Indians living abroad in nurturing and promoting Indian classical music and other cultural legacies on foreign soil.
