The ongoing underground drainage (UGD) pipeline work on 2nd Cross Street near Surya Bakery Circle in Hebbal is being carried out in a highly unscientific manner, causing severe inconvenience to the residents and neighbourhood, leaving us feeling like prisoners of a self-imposed 'siege.'

Trenches six to seven feet deep have been dug for the pipeline, while excavated soil has been piled along the stretch, making movement through the street extremely difficult. We are struggling to navigate the narrowed and uneven pathway.

Stone slabs that were earlier placed in front of our houses have been removed under the pretext of laying concrete covers and left unutilised, further worsening access to homes.
