Colombo, Sri Lanka, Sept. 3 -- Ministry of Defence and Urban Development issued the following news release:
Air Vice Marshal Indika Wickramasinghe, USP, MSc (Def & Strat Stu), MHRM, BSc (Def Stu) Aero Eng, C Eng (UK), MRAeS, AMIE (SL), ndc, psc, assumed duties as the new Vice Chancellor of the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) on 01 September, succeeding Rear Admiral Dammika Kumara, who relinquished the appointment upon completion of his tenure.
The formal assumption of duties took place at the KDU premises in Ratmalana, in the presence of senior academic, administrative and military officials.
