Deputy Minister of Defence, Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd), recently chaired two Public Day programs held in Colombo (01 July) and Pambala, Chilaw (02 July).
The first program was held at the Deputy Minister's office in Colombo, where members of the veteran community, families of Tri Forces personnel and members of the public were given the opportunity to present their grievances and requests directly to the Deputy Minister. A wide range of matters relating to land issues, pensions, compensation, welfare, employment and other administrative concerns were taken up for discussion.
