New Delhi, Aug. 10 -- Economic ties between India and Southeast and East Asia have grown over the past three decades. In a changing geopolitical and economic environment, several ASEAN member states and East Asian countries are focusing on investing in specific sectors, especially semiconductors and critical technology.

In recent years, several Japanese, South Korean and Taiwanese companies have significantly increased their presence in India's semiconductor sector.
