Hyderabad, Oct. 23 -- With retired employees recently protesting delays in the payment of retirement benefits, the Telangana government is set to verify the PAN and Aadhaar details of all service and family pensioners.

According to a report in The Hindu, these details would be gathered and updated in the Integrated Financial Management and Information System (IFMIS) pension module by December 31.

The government has instructed officials to collect copies of PAN and Aadhaar cards of the pensioners for verification. This would ensure identification of pensioners, their cross-verification, and also better running of pension-related services, it said.
