Hyderabad, Sept. 17 -- Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Thursday, September 17, directed the district administration to extend all possible support to the families of six students who drowned during a Ganesh idol immersion in Sangareddy district, and ordered a thorough inquiry into the circumstances of the tragedy.

In a statement, the Chief Minister said he was deeply saddened by the deaths of the students from the Shireesha Charitable Trust, who drowned at Neredu Cheruvu in Peddakanjerla village, Patancheru, while immersing the idol.
