Hyderabad, Aug. 23 -- The Transport Joint Action Committee (JAC) in Telangana late on Sunday, August 23, announced its decision to withdraw its indefinite strike scheduled from Monday.

Issuing a statement, the JAC said that Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar had positively responded to their "genuine demands". It said the minister had assured them of action on all their demands, including "the Welfare Board, auto and cab fair fares, up to Rs 1.50 lakh support for EV retrofitment, per-km and per-minute fares for cab, auto and goods transport under the Motor Vehicle Aggregator Guidelines, and regulation of private vehicles used for commercial services."
