RTI reply reveals where your petrol and diesel money goes
Hyderabad, June 5 -- A litre of petrol may cost more than Rs 115 in Hyderabad, but only part of that amount goes towards the fuel itself. A response by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (HPCL) under the Right to Information (RTI) Act has revealed how the money paid by consumers is divided among oil companies, governments and fuel dealers.
The information was disclosed by HPCL in response to a series of RTI applications filed by Hyderabad-based activist Robin Zaccheus.
