Hyderabad, May 3 -- Two burqa-clad pregnant women have alleged harassment at a shopping mall in Secunderabad, claiming they were stopped and searched by staff on three separate occasions despite having paid for their purchases.
A video of the incident surfaced on social media on Saturday, May 2. In the video, the women said they had shopped for goods worth around Rs 5,000 before being detained at the exit. Even after the initial check turned up nothing, they were reportedly subjected to two further searches.
Angered by the treatment, the women confronted the mall staff and recorded a video of the employees who had checked them.
