New Zealand daylight saving time begins on Sunday
Auckland, Sept. 27 -- New Zealand has switched to daylight saving time on Sunday, September 27, bringing longer evenings and more daylight after work and school.
At 2 am, clocks moved forward by one hour to 3 am. Residents are encouraged to check their clocks and devices to make sure they are showing the correct time.
The annual change marks the beginning of the warmer-season schedule, giving New Zealanders more daylight during the evening hours.
