Hyderabad, Oct. 29 -- Warangal East MLA and former minister Konda Surekha on Thursday, October 29, withdrew her remarks against Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao and expressed regret, saying she did not mean to hurt him or his family.

In October 2024, Surekha had linked KTR to the divorce of actors Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. She had also made allegations about drug use and the blackmail of film personalities.

KTR and Nagarjuna (Naga Chaitanya's father) had filed defamation cases against the Congress MLA. While Nagarjuna withdrew his in November 2025 after the minister apologised to his family, KTR's case continued.
