Abu Dhabi, Aug. 31 -- Indian expats in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have been warned against sharing biometric data with fraudulent agents who may misuse fingerprints and face scans to carry out financial fraud.

In a statement posted on X on Monday, August 31, the Consulate General of India in Dubai said it had received reports of Indian nationals, particularly blue-collar workers, falling victim to individuals and agents falsely offering help with visa regularisation, emergency certificates, exit permits or outpasses, Emirates IDs and employment-related services.
