Hyderabad, March 14 -- Taking advantage of the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) crisis in the country, cybercriminals are now targeting desperate consumers by promising quick cylinder deliveries and siphoning off people's hard-earned money from their bank accounts, Hyderabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar cautioned on Saturday, March 14.

Highlighting an incident that occurred in Maharashtra's Dombivli, the Sajjanar said that two women were contacted by cybercriminals posing as employees of Mahanagar Gas Limited and asked them to update their gas cylinder information.
