Hyderabad, April 1 -- Two persons were sentenced to 30 years of rigorous imprisonment with a fine of Rs 10,000 each under various sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, for sexually assaulting a nine-year-old girl, in a case that was reported at Chandrayangutta Police Station in 2022.

Mohammed, 24, a resident of Balapur in Rangareddy district, and Ishaq Khan, 19, a resident of Chandrayangutta, were served the sentences by G Uday Bhaskar Rao, the Fast Track Sessions Judge for POCSO cases at Haca Bhavan in Hyderabad on Wednesday, April 1.
