Hyderabad: Pedestrian check reveals man with 30 gm brown sugar
Hyderabad, Aug. 21 -- The Excise and Prohibition Department officials seized 30.5 grams of brown sugar from a 28-year-old man during vehicle and pedestrian checks on Matangi Road in the Patancheru area on Friday, August 21.
According to Shamshabad Excise Superintendent Radhakrishna Reddy, the suspect was identified as Jessie Moddeen, a native of West Bengal. He had reportedly come to the area in search of work but was allegedly involved in the sale of brown sugar.
The excise officials seized the contraband from his possession and registered a case at the Patancheru Excise Station. Further investigation is underway.
