Hyderabad, April 2 -- A 61-year-old migrant worker from Telangana died days after being brought back from Dubai in a critical condition, with his family now seeking Rs 5 lakh ex gratia from the state government.
Arelli Gangarajam, from Polasa village in Jagtial district, had been working in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as a concrete mason assistant. He was hospitalised in Dubai, after being diagnosed with acute kidney failure.
He was later shifted to and admitted to the Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) on December 14. Despite treatment, he died on December 24 at a government hospital in Jagtial.
