Hyderabad, Aug. 23 -- Central Gurudwara Sahib Gowliguda kicked off its centenary celebrations with a marathon on Sunday, August 23, which saw the participation of over 5,000 people.

The marathon was organised at the HMDA Grounds near IMAX and featured three-kilometre and five-kilometre runs as well as a family walkathon.

Organisers said the marathon was conceived not merely as a sporting event but as an inclusive community celebration marking a significant milestone in the history of the Gurudwara.
