Hyderabad, Feb. 28 -- Hyderabad's municipalities are headed for a significant administrative overhaul, with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Friday, February 27, announcing that the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Act will be replaced with a new Core Urban Act, which will be applied across all three corporations of GHMC, Malkajgiri and Cyberabad.
The GHMC Act had until now served as the governing rulebook for the city. Officials have been directed to prepare the new legislation.
