Hyderabad, Aug. 9 -- Musi River is often called the lifeline and pride of Hyderabad, shaping the city's history, culture and daily life for centuries. Flowing right through the heart of Old City, it has witnessed the rise and growth of Hyderabad since the era of Nizams. Though its water no longer sparkles the way it once did, the Musi remains an enduring symbol in the city's collective memory.
Few people, however, know where this river actually begins. The journey of the Musi starts far from the bustling Charminar and busy bridges, in the green expanse of the Ananthagiri Hills near Vikarabad.
