Hyderabad, Nov. 2 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Hyderabad has forecast three days of 'heavy rain' in Telangana ahead of Cyclone Murasu.

The forecasts come as the cyclonic storm is likely to cross the Andhra Pradesh coast in the wee hours of Tuesday, November 3.

Red alert issued

Ahead of Cyclone Murasu, IMD Hyderabad forecast heavy rain on Monday, November 2, and issued an orange alert for Nalgonda and Suryapet districts. For several other districts, the department has issued a yellow alert.

However, no alert has been issued for Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem, Nirmal, Mancherial, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Peddapalle, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Karimnagar, Rajanna Sircilla, Nizamabad, Bhadradri Kothagudem and Sangareddy.
