Hyderabad, Aug. 22 -- Residents of Gabbilalpet and neighbouring slums in Jawahar Nagar will hold a "Chalo Collectorate" on August 24, demanding that the government allocate five acres of land in Gabbilalpet for a Telangana Public School (Model School) from Nursery to Class 12.

According to a press release issued by the Prabhutva Pathashala Sadhana Committee, Gabbilalpet, the campaign is centred on the demand that children should have access to a school in their own neighbourhood. The committee is seeking a permanent school with adequate infrastructure.
