Hyderabad, Oct. 27 -- A 42-year-old brain-dead cab driver from Visakhapatnam saved the lives of five people in Hyderabad through organ donation.

The donor was identified as Sativada Chinnarao, a resident of Thatichetlapalem. On October 14, while returning from a salon, Chinnarao felt dizzy and collapsed on the road in Balapur. He was shifted to a hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him brain dead on October 25.

Hyderabad Commissioner of Police, VC Sajjanar, praised Chinnarao's wife Madhu's decision to donate his organs. The cab driver donated two kidneys, two corneas and a liver to save five lives.
