Bengaluru, June 5 -- In a major administrative reform aimed at improving transparency and accountability in government offices, the Karnataka government has made Artificial Intelligence (AI) and GPS-based attendance mandatory for all government employees and officials across the state. The new system will replace conventional biometric attendance mechanisms and ensure real-time monitoring of employee presence.

Chief Secretary Dr. Shalini Rajneesh has issued an official order directing all government officers and staff to report to their respective offices by 10 a.m. every working day.
