Hyderabad, April 22 -- A special traffic enforcement drive was conducted in Hyderabad which was led by DCP Traffic-I K Rahul Reddy.
During the drive, cases were booked against vehicle owners violating number plate rules in the Trimulgherry and Malkajgiri divisions.
A total of 450 cases were booked in a single day for number plate violations. Fines of Rs 80 thousand were also imposed on offenders. In addition, 66 repeat violators were charge-sheeted for court action.
Officials said the drive focused on ensuring that all vehicles follow standard number plate rules.
As per regulations, number plates must be in a standard format, clearly visible and approved by the government.
