Hyderabad, June 22 -- As many as 841 cases and 651 arrests were made in a 10-day major enforcement drive by the Telangana Prohibition and Excise Department across the state.

The raids conducted from June 12 to 21 were against illicitly distilled liquor, non-duty-paid liquor, ganja and other narcotic substances.

Intensifying its crackdown on narcotic substances, the excise department seized 114.32 kg of ganja, 41 gram of MDMA, 310 gram of cocaine and 6.3 gram of heroin during the operation.

Officials seized 362.72 litre of non-duty paid liquor (NDPL) or illegal liquor with Rangareddy district recorded at 206.56 litre.

In Hyderabad and neighbouring Medak, 66 litre and 49.32 litre were seized respectively.
