India, Oct. 28 -- The Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DDWS), Ministry of Jal Shakti, organised the 12th edition of the multilingual Sujal Gram Samvad on October 28, 2026, providing a platform for direct interaction with Gram Panchayat representatives and rural communities on the operation and maintenance (O&M) of drinking water systems. The initiative reinforces the government's commitment to community-led water governance under Jal Jeevan Mission 2.0. The session was chaired by DDWS Secretary Ashok K.K. Meena, in the presence of Kamal Kishore Soan, Additional Secretary and Mission Director of the National Jal Jeevan Mission (NJJM), and other senior officials.
