India, Oct. 1 -- Special Gram Sabhas will be held across India on October 2, 2026, to discuss transformative governance reforms, citizen-centric government schemes and development priorities at the grassroots level. The meetings will also mark the launch of the People's Plan Campaign (PPC) 2026-27, "Sabki Yojana, Sabka Vikas", under which Gram Panchayats will prepare their Gram Panchayat Development Plans for 2027-28 through participatory and evidence-based planning. Citizens and local representatives will review scheme implementation, identify gaps and discuss priorities for improving the quality of life in rural communities.
