India, Sept. 16 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the fifth edition of SEMICON India 2026 on September 17, as India steps up efforts to strengthen its position in the global semiconductor and electronics manufacturing ecosystem. The three-day conference and exhibition will be held from September 17 to 19.

Organised jointly by the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and SEMI, the event will be held under the theme "Silicon to Systems: Building the Ecosystem". It comes amid growing policy support, industry participation and global demand for diversified and resilient semiconductor supply chains.
