India, May 28 -- REC Limited, a Maharatna CPSE under the Ministry of Power, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Electrical Research and Development Association (ERDA) to strengthen quality testing and assurance systems for materials used under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS).

The agreement was signed at SCOPE Complex, New Delhi, marking a step toward improving quality standards and operational efficiency in India's power distribution infrastructure.

Under the MoU, REC and ERDA will collaborate on third-party quality testing, technical support, capacity-building programmes and the development of robust quality assurance frameworks for RDSS projects.
