India, July 17 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched several new development works in Chandigarh today. The new projects cover hospital upgrades, new schools, and better roads. These works cost more than 4,700 crore rupees in total.

New healthcare services at PGI Chandigarh Modi started many new medical facilities at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, which people call PGI. These additions will help millions of patients from nearby areas. The new buildings include an Advanced Neurosciences Centre and an Advanced Mother and Child Centre. PGI also got a new 150-bed Critical Care Block to handle emergencies and serious illnesses much better.
