India, Aug. 21 -- The Pradhan Mantri Annadata Aay Sanrakshan Abhiyan (PM-AASHA) has emerged as an important mechanism for agricultural procurement, price stabilisation and market intervention, helping farmers secure better price realisation and reduce distress sales. The scheme supports a more stable and resilient agricultural economy by strengthening procurement operations across states.

PM-AASHA has enabled timely procurement of pulses, oilseeds and copra through agencies including NAFED and NCCF. Additional procurement centres have expanded market access, while digital initiatives such as Aadhaar-enabled authentication, e-NAM, e-Samriddhi and e-Samyukti have improved transparency and efficiency.
