NTA Overhaul: Centre Appoints 2 Directors, Joint Director
India, Aug. 29 -- The Centre has appointed two new directors and a joint director at the National Testing Agency (NTA) as part of the examination body's ongoing overhaul following the NEET UG controversy. The appointments were issued through orders of the Department of Personnel and Training on August 27.
IAS officer Prasanna Venkatesh V and IPS officer Ravi Kumar Singh have been appointed as directors in the NTA. Prasanna Venkatesh, a 2012-batch IAS officer, will serve under the Central Staffing Scheme for five years, while Ravi Kumar Singh, a 2012-batch Andhra Pradesh cadre IPS officer, has also been assigned to the Department of Higher Education for five years.
