India, Oct. 6 -- P L S S Chaitanya Prakash assumed charge as Director (Power) of NLC India Limited (NLCIL) at the company's registered office in Chennai on October 5, 2026. He joins NLCIL with more than three decades of experience in the power sector, primarily with Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC).

During his tenure at DVC, Chaitanya Prakash held senior responsibilities covering power generation, projects, operations and maintenance. Before joining NLCIL, he served as Executive Director (Operations), overseeing strategic operations and advancing major capital projects. He also held board-level responsibilities in DVC joint ventures with NTPC Green Energy and Coal India.
