India, Sept. 19 -- Manoj Kumar Sharma has assumed charge as Director (Projects) of GAIL (India) Limited, bringing more than three decades of experience across India's hydrocarbon and energy infrastructure sector. Before joining GAIL, Sharma served as Executive Director and Regional Head, Eastern Region Pipelines, at Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL).

At IOCL, Sharma was responsible for operations and maintenance, construction and City Gas Distribution (CGD) businesses across five states. He oversaw a pipeline network extending more than 5,700 km, giving him extensive operational and project experience across a geographically diverse energy infrastructure network.
