India, Oct. 15 -- Jal Jeevan Mission 2.0: Districts Share Innovative Water Governance Practices The Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DDWS), under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, organised the 13th District Collectors' Peyjal Samvad through video conferencing on October 15, 2026. The meeting brought together senior officials, District Collectors, District Magistrates and State and Union Territory Mission Directors to discuss implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) 2.0. Chaired by DDWS Secretary Ashok K.K. Meena, the discussion focused on community ownership, reliable rural drinking water services and the long-term sustainability of water supply infrastructure.
