India, June 12 -- Indian Railways has recruited 43,781 candidates during the Financial Year 2025-26, marking a significant step in strengthening its workforce through a faster and more transparent hiring process. The recruitment was carried out through completed Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) selection cycles covering 47,084 vacancies across multiple categories.

According to an official statement, the appointments include 18,799 Assistant Loco Pilots (ALPs), 14,298 Technicians, 452 Sub-Inspectors, 4,208 Constables, 7,951 Junior Engineers (JE), Depot Material Superintendents, Chemical and Metallurgical Assistants, and 1,376 candidates in paramedical categories.
