India, Oct. 9 -- India is firmly on track to achieve 100 GW of installed wind energy capacity by 2030, Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Pralhad Joshi said on Thursday. Speaking at the inauguration of the eighth edition of Windergy India 2026, the minister highlighted the country's growing renewable energy potential and its ambition to become a global leader in wind energy production and exports. India had an installed wind energy capacity of 59.20 GW as of September 30, 2026.
