India, Nov. 17 -- India's space programme has achieved significant milestones, including the recent launch of a 4,400-kg communication satellite, marking a major advancement in its space capabilities.

With a rich history dating back to the 1975 launch of Aryabhata, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has developed powerful satellites and successful launch vehicles such as the PSLV and GSLV. Notably, India holds the record for launching 104 satellites in a single mission and has launched 354 foreign satellites from 34 countries.

The historic Chandrayaan-3 mission, which landed near the Moon's south pole, and the Mars Orbiter Mission further cement India's status in global space exploration.
