India, Sept. 9 -- India has endorsed the Call to Action for 6G Leadership and Security, joining more than 20 like-minded governments seeking to shape the future of sixth-generation wireless communications. The initiative promotes openness, interoperability, security, resilience, resource efficiency and innovation-led competition as core principles for next-generation telecommunications networks.

The endorsement was announced on the sidelines of the G20 Innovation Ministerial in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, held on September 1-2, 2026, under the United States' G20 Presidency.
