India, Aug. 18 -- The government has proposed extending the permissible age of battery-operated, hydrogen and natural gas commercial vehicles under the national permit system by five years. The draft changes would raise existing limits of 12 and 15 years to 17 and 20 years respectively, while simplifying permit procedures through digital processes.
