India, July 20 -- The Indian government launched the e-Shram website on August 26, 2021. This website helps workers without regular jobs. These workers include delivery riders and farm helpers. The system gives them a unique ID number. It keeps all their details in one behemoth database.

As of July 14, 2026, over 31.78 crore workers joined the portal. This is a gargantuan number. Smt. Shobha Karandlaje shared this information today. She is the Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment. She gave a written reply in the Lok Sabha.
