Gaganyaan to Venus Mission: India Enters New Space Era
India, Aug. 23 -- India is entering a new space exploration phase with Gaganyaan, Bharatiya Antariksh Station and the Venus Orbiter Mission. The roadmap also includes advanced docking, reusable launch vehicles, semi-cryogenic propulsion and next-generation launch systems, strengthening India's capabilities in human spaceflight, planetary exploration and advanced space technology.
Key Highlights :
Gaganyaan aims to send three Indian astronauts to a 400-km orbit by 2027.
Bharatiya Antariksh Station is targeted for operationalisation by 2035.
Venus Orbiter Mission is targeted for launch in March 2028.
ISRO is advancing reusable rockets, semi-cryogenic engines and NGLV technologies.
