India, July 1 -- The Government of India has said that GAGAN (GPS Aided GEO Augmented Navigation), India's indigenous satellite-based augmentation system developed by ISRO and the Airports Authority of India, will strengthen the country's satellite navigation ecosystem by improving aviation safety, air traffic management, and satellite-based navigation services. GAGAN recently achieved a milestone with India's first satellite-based landing approach on a commercial aircraft using the system.
