Commercial LPG, ATF Prices Hiked From October 1
India, Oct. 1 -- State-owned oil marketing companies (OMCs) have increased commercial LPG prices by Rs 62.50 per 19-kg cylinder from October 1, citing movements in international benchmark prices. The latest revision follows a Rs 9.50 increase in September, after commercial LPG prices were reduced substantially in July and August.
OMCs have also raised aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices by Rs 16 per litre, taking the price for domestic airlines to Rs 137 per litre from Rs 121. ATF is a significant component of airline operating costs and can account for up to 40 per cent of expenses, making monthly fuel price revisions important for the aviation sector.
