India, Oct. 29 -- Union Minister of Jal Shakti C. R. Patil chaired the 19th meeting of the Ganga Flood Control Board (GFCB) at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, on October 27, 2026. The meeting brought together representatives of Ganga Basin states, Central Ministries and relevant agencies to review ongoing initiatives and strengthen coordination for flood management. Participants included West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari, Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Ram Nath Thakur, NITI Aayog Member Prof. K. V. Raju, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary and Uttar Pradesh Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh, along with senior officials.
