India, Sept. 12 -- India is hosting the 18th BRICS Summit at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on Saturday, bringing heightened security and traffic arrangements across the national capital. The Delhi Traffic Police issued an advisory on Friday night announcing diversions and regulated traffic movement on several important routes between 9:30 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. on September 12, 2026.

Police have asked commuters to plan their journeys in advance, allow extra travel time and follow instructions from traffic personnel. People have also been encouraged to use public transport, particularly the Delhi Metro, wherever feasible.
